2023 Mentor of the Year – Roniece Bridge

We are thrilled to announce Roniece Bridge as the 2023 ACE GNY Mentor of the Year! Roniece is a Project Designer at H2M architects + engineers and the Team Leader for Team 47.

Roniece was nominated for her exceptional mentorship and significant, positive impact on students and mentors alike. It is clear Roniece is highly deserving of this recognition and embodies the mission of the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY.  Members of Roniece’s team shared the following with us:

Roniece cultivated a welcoming and collaborative environment in our team meetings. She encouraged students to ask questions and explore the different disciplines, incredibly enhancing the learning experience for the entire group.

Roniece always makes an effort to have individual time with each student during each session to make sure their opinions are heard by the group and so that each student feels like an important part of the team. She is so good at engaging the students and its noticeable how the students come out of their shell over the course of the program due to her encouragement.

Roniece’s unwavering support and dedication to her mentees are exemplary, and I am so well prepared to study architecture at college because of her. I will be forever grateful to Roniece for all her guidance and encouragement. She has inspired me to become an ACE mentor after college, and I can only hope to someday be as superb a mentor as Roniece Bridge is to me.”

A $2,500 scholarship will be announced in Roniece’s honor at our 2024 Scholarship Luncheon. Additionally, as the ACE GNY Mentor of the Year, Roniece will also be ACE GNY’s nominee for next year’s ENR/ACE National Mentor of the Year.

Congratulations, Roniece! We are proud to call you our 2023 Mentor of the Year!
