Teams 2, 14, 20, and 51 Final Presentations

Congratulations to Teams 2, 14, 20, and 51 on the completion of the ACE Mentor Program!

The ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY partners with the Department of Education, Career & Technical Education (CTE) Office to bring a unique ACE opportunity to their students. Four schools are matched up with four ACE teams to complete the 15 session program. Each team is school based, meaning the team is made up of students from the same school.

On March 19, Team 2 (led by Rockefeller Group; participating students from Manhattan Bridges High School) and Team 20 (led by Thornton Tomasetti; participating students from Bronx Engineering Technology Academy) presented their final project designs. Team 2 presented on their residential and commercial space at 148-164 West 48th Street, and Team 20 presented on the design of a Wellness Center in NYC.

On March 20, Team 14 (led by Shawmut Design and Construction; participating students from Bronx International High School) and Team 51 (led by Rockefeller Group; participating students from Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction) presented their final design projects to family, mentors, and leaders in the A-E-C industry. Team 14 presented on a community center named People’s Plaza at Liberty Place, and Team 51 presented on a residential building in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan.

All students that participated received certificates of completion of the 2018-19 ACE Season.
